The body normally hosts a variety of microorganisms (bacteria and fungi) and some you are useful, while others may multiply rapidly and cause infections. Fungal infections are caused by microscopic yeasts and molds that live on the skin, hair, or nails.
Candidiasis: Infection of the skin by Candida. Very often, because most of the diaper dermatitis, and is especially common in diabetes and pregnancy, as well as in obese and in areas of special sweating (skin folds, especially). Oral thrush is a form of Candidiasis that affects the lining of the mouth, which is especially marked in treated with inhaled corticosteroids (asthma) and immunocompromised (HIV infection, etc).
Dermatophytosis: Skin infection by fungi or Dermatophytosis. It can occur in any area of the skin, but occurs mostly in warm, humid areas of the skin, and depending on your location, ringworm are called differently. For example:
Foot: Athlete’s foot (Tinea pedis)
Genital area: Eczema marginalized.
Areas discovered: Herpes circinate.
Scalp: Tinea capitis, tinea capitis.
The ringworm is very contagious and is spread by direct contact and through shoes, socks, towels, showers and pools. Susceptibility to infection is increased in situations of poor hygiene, occlusive footwear, moisture and damage to the skin or nails.
