Makeup and creams for face and body are well formulated and resist decomposition but may lose power or be ruined.
The face creams can lose some of their benefits even if no signs of decomposition. Some ingredients such as vitamin C may lose their benefits.
Makeup and creams can also promote infection if they are infected.
When you pull creams or makeup
How do you know if your makeup or creams are bacteria? These are some indications why creams and makeup have to be discarded:
1 – Changes in color
2 – Separation. For example separation of water and oil in creams
3 – Changes in odor
4 – If you notice bacterial growth on the surface (a layer of material of different color)
Caring for your makeup and creams
To make the products last longer and retain all seen these easy care properties:
1 – Do not share your makeup or use another person’s makeup especially lipstick and mascara.
2 – Keep your product in a dry place. Due to the humidity the bathroom is not the best place to keep your beauty products.
3 – Keep your product in a dark place. The light, especially sunlight, affects the properties of some ingredients.
4 – Keep bottles tightly closed
5 – Keep the product in a cool place. The heat affects their properties. Avoid leaving them in a closed car for a long time.
6 – Try not to get your hands wet or dirty products to prevent unwanted contaminate them with bacteria.
7 – Do not use your products if you have an infection such as conjunctivitis or infection in the skin. The product may become contaminated and infected again when you heal.
